All international delegates travelling to Australia must ensure that they hold a valid visa or travel authority before entering Australia. Visa requirements depend on the delegate’s passport, nationality, travel purpose, and individual circumstances.
Delegates are responsible for checking and applying for the appropriate visa through the Australian Department of Home Affairs. The conference organisers are unable to provide migration advice.

Possible Visa Options
Depending on eligibility and individual circumstances, conference delegates may consider the following visa options.
Electronic Travel Authority (subclass 601)
Delegates holding eligible passports may be able to apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) (subclass 601). This option may be relevant to delegates holding eligible passports from certain countries or jurisdictions, including some Asia-Pacific and North American jurisdictions.
The ETA allows short-term visits to Australia, including some business visitor activities. Delegates should check their eligibility through the Department of Home Affairs before applying.
eVisitor (subclass 651)
Delegates holding eligible European passports may be able to apply for an eVisitor visa (subclass 651). This visa allows multiple short visits to Australia within a 12-month period and may include business visitor activities.

Visitor visa (subclass 600) – Business Visitor stream
Delegates who are not eligible for an ETA (subclass 601) or eVisitor (subclass 651) may need to consider the Visitor visa (subclass 600) – Business Visitor stream.
This stream is intended for short business visits to Australia. It may allow delegates to take part in a conference, trade fair, or seminar, provided they are not being paid by the organisers to participate.
Please note that the Business Visitor stream is different from the Tourist stream. Conference delegates should carefully check which stream is appropriate for their visit.
Letter of Invitation
A letter of invitation may be provided to registered conference participants upon request after registration has been completed.
The invitation letter is intended to support a visa application only. It does not imply financial support from the conference organisers and does not guarantee that a visa will be granted.
Delegates are advised to apply for their visa as early as possible, as visa processing times may vary.
